Privacy Policy — MindfulFlow Android App

Scope: This document applies only to the MindfulFlow Android mobile app on Google Play. It does not describe the MindfulFlow website, web accounts, or server-backed services. For the website, see our website Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy explains how Orbdeep LLC (“Orbdeep,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the MindfulFlow mobile application for Android (“App”) distributed on Google Play. It is intended to meet Google Play’s requirements for a publicly available privacy policy and to align with how this App is built: primarily on your device, with purchases through Google Play, ads through Google AdMob where applicable, and meditation videos that may load through an embedded YouTube experience.

Important: This App does not use our website’s sign-in, cloud account database, Stripe checkout, server-side Guru processing, or website analytics in the way the MindfulFlow website does. If you also use mindfulflow.io, please read our separate website Privacy Policy.

2. Who the App is for

The App is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the App. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

3. Summary: what the App does and does not do (data flows)

  • On-device storage: The App stores information on your device using local storage (on-device key–value storage) such as preferences, progress, and Guru conversation text you generate while using the App. This data stays on your device unless you delete the App or clear app storage in your Android settings.
  • Guru coaching: Guru responses are produced locally on your device. We do not send your Guru messages to our servers or to third-party AI APIs for processing as part of this App’s design.
  • No cloud account required: The App is designed to work without you creating a MindfulFlow website account or remote user profile in our database.
  • Payments: Purchases and subscriptions are processed with Google Play Billing (in-app purchases). We do not use Stripe or other non–Play payment flows inside this App.
  • Ads: The free experience may show ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s Advertising ID (AAID) and related technical signals to serve and measure ads. Where supported, we request non-personalized ads; Google may still process limited data for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting as described in Google’s documentation.
  • YouTube: Some meditation or video content may be shown in an embedded YouTube player (for example inside a WebView). YouTube/Google may collect data according to their own policies when content loads.
  • No in-app analytics SDKs: We do not integrate Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, Amplitude, Segment, or similar product analytics SDKs in this App.
  • No crash reporting SDKs: We do not integrate Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, or similar crash reporting SDKs in this App as described here.
  • No push notifications: We do not use push notification services (for example Expo Notifications) in this App.

If we change these practices in a future version, we will update this policy and, where required, the Google Play Data safety form.

4. Categories of information and purposes

Depending on how you use the App, processing may include:

  • App functionality: local settings, saved progress, and Guru conversation content stored on-device to operate features you choose to use.
  • Advertising (free tier): AdMob may process identifiers and usage-related signals to show ads, measure delivery, and prevent invalid traffic.
  • Purchases: Google processes payment and subscription status through Play Billing; Google shares with us only what is needed to validate entitlements in the App (for example subscription state), not your full payment card number.
  • Safety and integrity: Google services may process technical data to secure accounts, payments, and ad ecosystems, as described by Google.

We do not require you to enter clinical health records or diagnoses to use core wellness features. Any wellness information you voluntarily type into Guru stays on your device unless you export or share it yourself outside the App.

When you use the App, you may interact with services operated by Google and other providers. We encourage you to review:

6. Permissions

The App requests only permissions needed for its features. If a permission is requested (for example network access for ads, purchases, or loading video), it is used for that purpose. You can review or revoke permissions in your Android device settings; revoking some permissions may limit features.

7. Security

We design the App to keep sensitive on-device data on your device. No security practice is perfect; protect your device with a screen lock and keep your operating system updated.

8. Retention and deletion

On-device data: Local App data remains until you delete the App or clear storage for MindfulFlow in Android settings (exact steps vary by device).

Google-held data: Google may retain certain data related to ads, purchases, and YouTube playback under Google’s policies. You can use Google’s privacy controls (including resetting your advertising ID and managing your Google account) as described by Google.

9. Your choices

  • Ads: You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in Android settings (for example Google Ads settings / advertising ID controls), subject to your OS version and region.
  • Purchases: Manage subscriptions in your Google Play account.
  • Local data: Clear app storage or uninstall the App to remove locally stored Guru text and preferences from your device.

10. International users and legal rights

Orbdeep LLC is based in the United States. Google services may process data in the United States and other countries. If you live in the EEA, UK, or other regions with privacy laws, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, objection, or portability) with respect to personal data certain providers process; many requests for Google-processed data are directed to Google’s tools and processes.

California residents: we do not sell personal information as commonly defined under California law. You may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; contact us at the email above.

11. Google Play Data safety and policy compliance

Developers must accurately declare app data collection and sharing in the Google Play Console Data safety section. This Privacy Policy is meant to match the App’s implementation as described here. If your shipped build differs (for example you add analytics or a backend), you must update both the Data safety form and this policy before release.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the App or on Google Play where appropriate.
